After Meghalaya Honeymoon case, Maharashtra’s Killer bride, and Uttar Pradesh’s Blue drum case another such case has come to light from Rajasthan. This chilling tale of betrayal and murder has unfolded in Alwar’s Kherli area. A nine-year-old boy’s courageous testimony became the pivotal evidence in the alleged murder of his father.
The victim Veeru alias Man Singh Jatav was murdered on the night of June 7. The investigation into the matter has led to the arrest of the victim’s wife, her alleged lover, and a contract killer. Meanwhile, the police are actively searching for three more suspects.
Police suspects foul play
According to reports Veeru’s wife, Anita, claimed her husband had died suddenly due to illness. However, suspicions arose due to injury marks on the body of the victim. The injuries include a broken tooth and signs of suffocation.
After suspecting foul play police conducted a medical examination of the body. The medical reports confirmed that Veeru had been murdered. The truth began to emerge within 48 hours when the couple’s young son bravely recounted the horrifying events to the police.
9-year-old says, Uncle killed my Father
Following the medical examination police began a probe into the matter. The police spoke to the child of the couple. The child revealed that his mother deliberately left the main gate open on the night of the murder. He further bravely claimed that around midnight, he witnessed four men, accompanied by a man enter their home.
He recognised only one among them, identified as “Kashi Uncle”. The police later discovered his identity as Kashiram Prajapat, Anita’s alleged boyfriend. The boy, feigning sleep, observed as they attacked his father, who was asleep in bed.
The child’s statement
In a heartbreaking statement, the child described, “I had just fallen asleep when I heard a faint sound at the door. I opened my eyes and saw my mother opening the gate. Kashi Uncle was standing outside; there were four more people with him. I got scared, I did not get up, I started watching everything quietly. They came to our room. I got up and saw my mother standing in front of the bed. Those people punched him, twisted his legs and also choked him. Kashi Uncle had covered his mouth with a pillow. When I reached out for my father Kashi Uncle picked me up in his lap and scolded and threatened me,” the boy said. “I became silent out of fear. After a few minutes, father died… then everyone left,” he stated.
Police investigation underway
Police investigations revealed that Anita ran a small general store. Furthermore, Kashiram, a local street vendor, had developed an extramarital affair with Anita. This affair allegedly became the motive for the murder, with Veeru seen as an obstacle. The duo reportedly conspired to hire four contract killers for Rs 2 lakh to eliminate him.
Following a formal complaint by the victim’s brother, Gabbar Jatav, police launched a thorough probe into the matter. The police also reviewed over 100 CCTV footage clips and analyzed call data records.
So far, the authorities have arrested Anita, Kashiram, and one of the contract killers, Brijesh Jatav. The search for the remaining three accused is ongoing.
