During his participation in the Global Business Summit 2026, he revealed how personal experiences influenced his investments, notably in companies like Naagin hot sauce and Swiggy. He explained that becoming a strategic partner in Naagin Sauce, which was established in 2019, occurred unexpectedly. His encounter with the brand began when he sampled the product, which he described as enjoyable and a staple in his household. His affection for the sauce led him to approach the founders, expressing his interest in their initial funding round and ultimately joining as a strategic partner.

Investment Decisions Rooted in Personal Experiences

Bachchan emphasised that his venture into Swiggy and Zepto stemmed from a straightforward everyday occurrence. One evening, after realising he had run out of Naagin sauce, he turned to a quick delivery application, which inspired him to consider the business’s potential. His patronage, particularly for Thane’s renowned Mamledar Misal, further solidified his desire to partner with Swiggy. He remarked on the quality of the Misal pav, calling it among the best worldwide. His frequent ordering from the platform led him to eventually contact Swiggy, asking if he could invest in the service.

Expanding Business Portfolio Beyond Food Ventures

In addition to his culinary endeavors, Abhishek Bachchan has ventured into sports and lifestyle sectors. He is the owner of the Jaipur Pink Panthers team in the Pro Kabaddi League and co-owns the Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC. Furthermore, he has made investments in Vahdam Teas alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. These ventures reflect his diverse interests and commitment to supporting various business models.

Upcoming Film Projects

On the cinematic front, Bachchan was most recently featured in the film Kaalidhar Laapata. His upcoming project is titled King, which is directed by Siddharth Anand. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, this prominent film will showcase a star-studded ensemble.
