Vice President CP Radhakrishnan to Visit Agartala on March 7 and 8 for a University Convocation

Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, is set to welcome Vice President C P Radhakrishnan on March 7 and 8. His itinerary includes attending the convocation ceremony of Tripura University, which is recognized as a significant central university in the region. As part of his schedule, Vice President Radhakrishnan will also pay a visit to the Matabari Temple, known for its cultural and religious significance. This visit aims to strengthen the ties between the citizens and their leaders through such traditional practices.

Convocation Ceremony and Community Interaction

The Vice President’s visit will coincide with the convocation ceremonies at Tripura University. He will be engaging with the Lakhpati Didis at the Hapania Fairgrounds, where he will interact with women entrepreneurs. This initiative highlights the government’s focus on empowering women and promoting local entrepreneurship.

Vishal Kumar emphasized that comprehensive arrangements have been made for the Vice President’s visit, involving both state government and central agency cooperation. Previous Engagements of the Vice President

Earlier, on February 22, Vice President Radhakrishnan laid the foundation stone for a monumental 140-foot statue of the freedom fighter VO Chidambaram Pillai in Madurai.

The statue’s height was increased from the initial design, underscoring the significance of honoring such historic figures. During that event, he remarked on the impactful legacy of VO Chidambaram Pillai, recognizing his contributions to India’s freedom movement and dedication to selfless service.
