The Shri Gandhi Bal Niketan Parivar organised the Upadhyay Samman 2026 at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Town Hall in Ratangarh, Rajasthan to honour eminent literary critic Ganesh Narayandas Devi and senior journalist Srinivasan Jain for their outstanding contributions to literature and journalism.

On this occasion, Ganesh Narayandas Devi, renowned for his pioneering work in preserving indigenous languages and cultures said, “This recognition is not just for me, but for the countless voices and languages that define India’s cultural richness. We must continue to protect and celebrate this diversity.”

Meanwhile, Srinivasan Jain pointed out the importance of credible journalism in today AI times. “In an age of information overload, the responsibility of journalists to remain factual, balanced, and fearless becomes even more crucial. I dedicate this honour to the principles of honest journalism,” he said.
