Under-Construction House Collapses in Firozabad, Over Dozen Labourers Injured

On February 13, a two-storey house that was still undergoing construction collapsed in Daulatpur village, located in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Reports indicate that several workers may be trapped beneath the debris.

Following timely notifications, police and administrative officials arrived quickly at the scene. Emergency personnel have commenced rescue and search efforts, continuing to gather more information as the situation unfolds.

Separate Incident in Rajasthan’s Kota

In a related note, another building collapse occurred in Kota, Rajasthan late on the night of February 12, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to at least 13 others. According to Sangeeta Saxena, the Principal of Kota Medical College, 10 individuals were brought to the medical facility following the incident.

Among them, two were confirmed deceased upon arrival. The hospital reported that two patients remain hospitalized with minor injuries, while three others were treated and subsequently discharged.

Details on Injuries and Medical Response

Saxena elaborated on the status of the patients, noting that while two people were admitted with minor injuries, their treatment is proceeding as expected. Additionally, during the rescue operation, a member of the rescue team suffered an injury to his right ring finger, specifically losing the distal phalanx. This individual is currently stable and is anticipated to undergo plastic surgery to address the injury.

Government Officials Address Community Concern

Om Birla, the Lok Sabha Speaker and Member of Parliament for Kota, expressed his sorrow over the recent collapse in his constituency. He stated that he has remained in close contact with district administration officials to ensure the swift initiation of relief and rescue operations.

As part of his commitment, Birla directed the District Collector and other authorities to prioritize the timely medical assistance for the injured, extending his prayers for their quick recovery and offering support to the families affected by the incident.
