Tripura to Host ‘Vikshit Bharat Vikshit Tripura’ Exhibition From 26-28 Feb

Tripura is preparing to host a large-scale exhibition named ‘Vikshit Bharat Vikshit Tripura’ from February 26 to 28 at Children’s Park in Agartala. The event aims to showcase various strategies, ideas, and initiatives designed to foster the state’s development. Rajib Bhattacharjee, the Tripura State President, emphasized that the exhibition aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Manik Saha, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to a developed India.

Objectives of the Exhibition

Speaking to reporters, Bhattacharjee articulated the importance of the event, stating, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, and we are working towards making that vision a reality.” He noted that with the current budget set to achieve the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by the year 2047, the exhibition serves as a demonstration of what ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Tripura’ entail. The exhibition aims to engage the youth by providing insights into the progress being made towards these ambitious objectives.

Participation of Key Organizations

Notable institutions such as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are expected to participate, showcasing advancements in the defence and space sectors. Their involvement highlights the multifaceted approach to development that the exhibition seeks to promote, encompassing various sectors crucial to national and regional growth.

Government Initiatives for Employment

Chief Minister Manik Saha addressed the media, reiterating the government’s commitment to transparency in job creation. He emphasized the importance of providing employment to unemployed youth through clear and open processes. During a recent event, Saha distributed TFS Grade-One Fishery Officer posts to 52 candidates, underscoring the government’s focus on public welfare through employment initiatives.

Focus on Qualified Appointments

Saha further explained that only qualified individuals are being considered for job opportunities in the state. He stated, “Only those who prove themselves worthy through their studies are appointed to various posts,” noting that the era of requiring recommendations for employment has ended. This change reflects a significant shift in the job recruitment landscape in Tripura.

Improvements in State Security and Communication

The Chief Minister also touched upon the past challenges of securing employment in remote areas, which were impacted by terrorism and inadequate communication systems. He highlighted the transformation in the state’s environment, declaring, “At present, the situation has changed. There is now a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere in the state.” Saha also recognized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on enhancing development in the Northeastern states, which has led to considerable improvements in communication infrastructure.
