Travel Influencer Anunay Sood’s Death in Las Vegas Suspected to Be Due to Drug Overdose

It is suspected that the travel influencer Anunay Sood, who was found dead earlier this month in Wynn Las Vegas, may have died due to a drug overdose, as per a report shared by a media outlet in Los Angeles. As per police reports, Sood was found unresponsive inside his hotel room on November 4, with narcotics found near him. Sood had gone to Las Vegas to attend the Las Vegas Concours 2025 car show when this tragedy happened.

What Do Investigators Say Happened That Night?

A woman who was staying with Sood when this incident happened shared that their group had purchased a substance (cocaine) from an unknown man on the casino floor around 4 in the morning. She disclosed that Sood had taken cocaine with her and another woman and slept immediately. However, an hour later when they woke up, they saw Sood unresponsive. A small bag of white powder has been recovered by police, confirming this theory.

What Has the Family Said?

Anunay’s family confirmed his death through social media last week and requested fans to give some privacy and avoid gathering outside the home. As per Sood’s last social post, he was in Las Vegas at the time of his death.

One of the police officials of Los Angeles shared, “On November 4, 2025, LVMPD responded to a dead body located in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Officers assisted the coroner and took a non-criminal/medical report.”

What Is the Official Cause of Death?

Till now, the exact cause of the death has not been known. The Clark County coroner’s office has kept this pending. Toxicology tests are yet to confirm whether drugs played a role, and this test report can take months, so nothing conclusive can be said before that. There has not been any arrest till now.

His action-oriented travel videos, where he featured road trips, luxury stays, car experiences, and adventure journeys, made him very popular among youngsters.

What he started as a passion on social media turned into a full-fledged career. He launched a Dubai-based digital performance and marketing agency that offered brand strategy, content production, and influencer-driven campaigns. Just before his death, he had travelled to 46 countries and had a target of visiting 195 countries.
