A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday night in Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, where a man allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself at a residence in the area. Police have identified the deceased as Nikhil Ahakhe, and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

Circumstances of the Incident

According to Chief Superintendent of Police Deepika Shinde, Ahakhe had reportedly visited the home of a local man identified as Vinay on Saturday evening. He was said to be there to meet Vinay’s sister-in-law, with whom he was previously acquainted.

Officials told the media that during the visit at the residence, Ahakhe shot himself. Police described the incident as an apparent suicide and said preliminary investigations are underway to determine the reasons behind the act.

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities confirmed that the initial inquiry is focused on establishing the circumstances leading to Ahakhe’s death. CSP Shinde noted that the three individuals involved,  Ahakhe, Vinay, and the sister-in-law, were known to each other before the incident took place.

Police have collected preliminary statements and are examining further leads to understand the sequence of events and any underlying factors that may have contributed to the tragedy. They have not yet released details about any possible motive or additional evidence.
