Mumbai, India: Supriya Lifescience Ltd., a cGMP-compliant company with a well-established presence in API manufacturing, has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art (SOTA) 5 MWp solar power facility in Nanded District, Maharashtra. The project was inaugurated by Dr. Satish Wagh, Chairman of Supriya Lifescience, who emphasized the company’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship.
This initiative is part of the ongoing program in which Supriya Lifesciences is committed to reducing carbon footprint from its operations. Apart from this new addition of a solar facility in Nanded, the total installed solar capacity now reads at 9.85 MWp against the existing 4.85 MWp of installed solar projects in Solapur District, Maharashtra. “Embracing renewable energy is not just a strategic business decision but also a commitment to a greener future,” said Dr. Satish Wagh, Chairman and Whole Time Director, Supriya Lifescience Ltd. “Our solar power investments are integral to our vision of sustainable growth and reducing environmental impact.”
The latest solar project was executed bilaterally with Enrich Energy Pvt. Ltd., a leader in renewable energy solutions. The integration of solar energy at Supriya Lifescience reflects the company’s green commitment and proactive energy efficiency in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
As a key player in the pharmaceutical industry, Supriya Lifescience continues to lead the way in sustainability by aligning its operations with global best practices in energy conservation. India can meet its ambitious renewable energy targets by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions through solar energy.
