On National Space Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the contributions of Generation Z towards the advancement of technology in India. According to ISRO’s chairman S. Somanath, these comprehensive plans seek to enhance India’s capabilities in space exploration and satellite deployment. He emphasised that these missions would not only support various scientific objectives but also cater to commercial opportunities across sectors.

Somanath explained that the upcoming missions aim to advance communication, weather forecasting, and remote sensing capabilities.
