Krisala Developers has announced plans to construct a Swaminarayan Temple on approximately 1.5 acres adjacent to its Land of Dreams township in Pune. The proposed temple is expected to be the first Swaminarayan temple in the city located near a major residential development.

Temple Planned Along Vadgaon-Lonavala Corridor

The proposed site is situated in the Vadgaon-Lonavala Growth Corridor, an area witnessing rapid residential and infrastructure development.

The temple is expected to strengthen the region’s spiritual and cultural infrastructure while supporting a more integrated community around the residential township.

Focus on Community Living

Aakash Agarwal, Managing Director of Krisala Developers, said having a Swaminarayan Temple within the township would give families convenient access to a place of worship.

The facility is expected to provide residents with a venue for prayers, festivals, cultural activities, and community gatherings without requiring them to travel long distances.

Temple Still in Planning Stage

The project is currently in the planning and development stage. Construction timelines have not yet been finalized by the temple trust.

Once completed, the temple is expected to host regular religious ceremonies and cultural programmes, adding to the social infrastructure of the surrounding area.

Potential Boost to Vadgaon-Lonavala Micro-Market

With residential demand rising across Pune’s western and southwestern corridors, the development of community facilities such as temples could further enhance the appeal of the Vadgaon-Lonavala belt.

The area could gradually evolve into a more self-sufficient residential micro-market supported by housing, infrastructure, and social amenities.
