Netflix Launches ‘Flavours of India’ Campaign With Tourism Ministry at ITB Berlin

Streaming giant Netflix made a significant announcement at ITB Berlin, one of the foremost global travel trade fairs. During the event, Netflix introduced two promotional videos that celebrate the rich cultural and culinary landscape of India. The videos, titled “India’s Vibrant Culture, Festivals and Heritage” and “Flavours of India,” were presented by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism.

Collaboration with Incredible India

These videos were created in partnership with the government’s tourism initiative, Incredible India. They focus on showcasing the nation’s cultural diversity, festivals, culinary specialties, adventure tourism, wildlife, and stunning natural scenery. The visuals include notable moments from Indian films and series available on Netflix that have been released over the last decade.

First of Many in a Planned Series

The recent launch signifies the first two films in a series of ten promotional videos anticipated as part of this collaboration. The project aims to demonstrate how narratives in cinema and television can highlight travel destinations, reaching an international audience while illuminating India’s varied cultural experiences.

Enhancing Cultural and Tourism Connections

This campaign also leverages Netflix’s newly announced partnership with India’s Ministry of Tourism. The initiative seeks to integrate various travel destinations into original content produced by Netflix India, effectively blending entertainment with tourism promotion and fostering cultural ties globally.
