Brothers allegedly bought NEET paper from Gurugram-based student

During questioning, the brothers admitted to buying the NEET question paper from Yash Yadav, an Ayurvedic medicine student based in Gurugram. The deal was struck for a cost ranging between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Currently, the CBI is questioning the three key accused—the brother duo Dinesh and Mangilal and Yash Yadav—to establish the sequence of events and match their statements. Sources have confirmed that the accused Yash Yadav was previously involved in cheating and paper leak activities and there is a possibility that he could be behind the NEET 2024 paper leak case. The sequence of events, according to the three key accused, is that after the brothers purchased the papers from Yash, they sold them to the coaching centre owner Rakesh Mandwaria in Sikar for Rs 15 lakh and then Mandwaria circulated the paper among students for Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. Police are also investigating the key reason behind the purchase of the paper, specifically whether Dinesh purchased it to help his son who appeared in the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3.
