Navi Mumbai Airport News: मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्र में तेजी से बढ़ती हवाई यात्रा की मांग को देखते हुए बड़ा फैसला लिया गया है। CIDCO ने Navi Mumbai International Airport पर तीसरी रनवे (Airport Runway) बनाने की दिशा में कदम बढ़ा दिए हैं। इसके लिए तकनीकी और व्यावसायिक व्यवहार्यता (Navi Mumbai Airport Third Runway Feasibility Study) करने हेतु RITES Limited और Creative Group LLP की संयुक्त टीम को सलाहकार नियुक्त किया गया है।

यह स्टडी अगले 6 महीनों में पूरी होने की उम्मीद है। इसमें यह देखा जाएगा कि तीसरी रनवे बनाना तकनीकी, आर्थिक और पर्यावरण के लिहाज से कितना संभव है।

Mumbai Metropolitan Region में हवाई यात्रियों की संख्या तेजी से बढ़ रही है। अनुमान है कि आने वाले वर्षों में यह मांग काफी बढ़ेगी। ऐसे में सिर्फ मौजूदा एयरपोर्ट और रनवे से काम नहीं चलेगा, इसलिए भविष्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए अभी से तैयारी की जा रही है।

आईएएस विजय सिंघल ने क्या कहा?

CIDCO के MD Vijay Singhal, IAS ने कहा कि नवी मुंबई इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट को World Class Aviation Hub बनाने की योजना है। उन्होंने बताया कि तीसरी रनवे से एयरपोर्ट की क्षमता और कार्यक्षमता दोनों बढ़ेंगी और यह मुंबई के लिए एक बड़ा इंटरनेशनल गेटवे बनेगा।

यह एयरपोर्ट देश के सबसे बड़े ग्रीनफील्ड प्रोजेक्ट्स में से एक है, जो करीब 1160 हेक्टेयर में फैला है।

2040 तक हवाई यात्रियों की संख्या 150 मिलियन तक पहुंच सकती है, जबकि 2050 तक यह 240 मिलियन तक जा सकती है। ऐसे में तीसरी रनवे जैसी योजनाएं भविष्य की जरूरत को पूरा करने के लिए अहम मानी जा रही हैं। कुल मिलाकर, CIDCO का यह कदम मुंबई के एविएशन इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को मजबूत करने और भविष्य की बढ़ती मांग को संभालने की दिशा में बड़ा और दूरदर्शी फैसला माना जा रहा है।
