IndiGo airline has revealed plans to commence 14 weekly direct flights linking Bhavnagar in Gujarat with Navi Mumbai from March 29, 2026. This announcement indicates that Bhavnagar will become the airline’s 97th domestic destination and its 142nd overall station in its expanding network. The introduction of this service is part of IndiGo’s strategy to bolster its domestic operations and enhance regional connectivity across western India.
Bhavnagar’s Economic Significance
Located in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, Bhavnagar is recognized as a vital commercial hub, thriving in various sectors such as manufacturing, shipbreaking, salt production, and diamond processing. The airline underscored that improving air travel connectivity will accelerate the movement of both people and goods, thereby promoting trade and investment opportunities. Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, noted that the addition of Bhavnagar enhances the airline’s presence in Gujarat, where it now operates flights to five airports, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot. He emphasized that the new route to Navi Mumbai offers critical links not just for domestic travel but also allows connectivity to IndiGo’s international network. This development is expected to facilitate economic growth in the surrounding areas and improve accessibility to air travel.
Flight Schedule Details
According to the flight schedule set to begin on March 29, 2026, IndiGo will operate daily direct flights between Bhavnagar and Navi Mumbai. The morning flight from Bhavnagar, designated as Flight 6E 7022, will take off at 08:35 and reach Navi Mumbai by 09:35. An evening flight, identified as Flight 6E 7082, is scheduled to leave Bhavnagar at 20:50, arriving at 21:55. In the reverse direction, the morning flight from Navi Mumbai to Bhavnagar (Flight 6E 7021) is set to depart at 07:10 and arrive at 08:15. Furthermore, an evening service on this route (Flight 6E 7081) will depart Navi Mumbai at 19:25, landing in Bhavnagar at 20:30.
