‘Private Parts Burned’: Lover Beats Woman to Death With Rolling Pin After Spotting her with Man in MP

The CSR Journal Magazine

Police in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district have solved the murder case of a woman whose body was found in Dhamnod earlier this week. The victim, identified as Sunita alias Kunta, was discovered dead on December 9 in the old Raidas locality. Following the recovery of the body, Dhar police registered a case and began an intensive investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Postmortem Reveals Extreme Violence

The postmortem report, received on Friday, revealed shocking details about the nature of the crime. Medical findings confirmed multiple injury marks on Sunita’s body, including signs of physical assault, burn injuries, swelling in her private parts, and twisted limbs. Doctors concluded that she had been subjected to severe cruelty and that death occurred on the spot due to excessive bleeding caused by head injuries.

Live-in Partner Identified as Accused

During the investigation, police found that Sunita had been living separately from her husband for several years and was in a live-in relationship with Ajay alias Ravi Chauhan, a resident of Sirsa in Badwah. The couple had shifted to a rented house in Dhamnod just seven days before the incident. Ajay, who is in his late 30s, worked locally and shared the residence with the victim.

Crime Triggered by Suspected Infidelity

According to police, the incident occurred when Ajay returned home from work and allegedly saw Sunita in a compromising situation with another man. The unidentified man reportedly fled the scene upon seeing Ajay. Enraged, Ajay assaulted Sunita by repeatedly striking her head with a rolling pin from the kitchen. Police further stated that he burned her private parts using matchsticks, leading to fatal injuries.

Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi said, “We initially registered a preliminary case and awaited forensic findings.” Investigators found that Sunita had been living separately from her husband for several years and was in a live-in relationship with Ajay, a resident of Sirsa in Barwah. The couple had moved to a rented home in Dharampuri just a week before the incident.

Arrest and Judicial Custody

After committing the crime, Ajay fled to his native place in Badwah. A police team traced his location and arrested him from his residence on December 11. Dharampuri police station in-charge Santosh Yadav said the accused was produced before a local court on Friday, which remanded him to judicial custody at Dharampuri jail. Police officials added that further investigation is underway, including efforts to identify the man who fled the scene.

Dharampuri police station in charge Santosh Yadav said, “The brutality of the assault matched the injuries noted in the medical report, strengthening the case.” Ajay was produced before a local court on Friday, which remanded him to Dharampuri jail. Police said further investigation is underway to identify the man who fled the scene and to determine whether he had any role in the events leading to the murder.
