The CSR Journal Magazine

Actor Kangana Ranaut is preparing for a significant role in her latest film, tentatively titled Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, which draws inspiration from the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The project will focus on the distressing incidents that occurred at Cama and Albless Hospital during the attacks on November 26, where two terrorists, Ajmal Kasab and Ismail Khan, infiltrated the facility. The film aims to provide a thorough depiction of the chaos that erupted as hospital staff fought to protect patients amidst the turmoil.

In the chaos of the attack, several guards lost their lives, and numerous hospital employees sustained injuries as the attackers attempted to gain control of the building. Despite the dire circumstances, the hospital staff showed remarkable bravery, quickly taking measures to safeguard patients by shutting doors and windows, switching off lights, and silencing mobile phones. They also relocated patients to safer areas within the hospital, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to preserving lives in a moment of crisis.

Focus on the Unsung Heroes

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata aims to shine a light on the courageous acts of the hospital’s blue-collar workforce during this tumultuous event. The narrative will center on the efforts of these everyday heroes who played a crucial role behind the scenes while the chaos unfolded around them.

Ranaut will take on the role of a staff nurse, portraying the resilience and dedication shown by health workers during such a critical period. Actress Girija Oak is also slated to have a significant part in the film, bringing her considerable talent to the project.

Manoj Tapadia’s Directorial Debut

The film is directed by Manoj Tapadia, who has transitioned from a background in copywriting and advertising to filmmaking. This project marks his debut as a feature film director. The creators have emphasized that Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is intended as a cinematic tribute to the unsung heroes of that tragic day in Mumbai.
