On September 25, 2026, Kamaljeet and Suruchi secured their gold medal, marking India’s second gold at the ongoing Asian Games. The athletes, both representing Haryana, achieved a noteworthy score of 484.6 points, successfully overcoming formidable competitors South Korea and Iran, who scored 478.0 and 415.8 points, respectively. This performance also set a new Asian record, eclipsing the previous record of 481.3 set by Uzbekistan earlier this year.
