Visakhapatnam made history as more than three lakh people gathered along the city’s iconic coastline to participate in a mass yoga session, setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest yoga gathering at a single location. This grand spectacle was the highlight of the 11th International Day of Yoga and saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the Common Yoga Protocol at RK Beach, joined by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, and several central and state ministers.
The event stretched across a remarkable 28-kilometre expanse from RK Beach to Bhogapuram, divided into 326 designated compartments to accommodate the massive crowd. The turnout, officially recorded at over 3.01 lakh participants, surpassed the previous record set in Surat in 2023, where 1.47 lakh people had gathered for a similar session. The atmosphere was festive, with people from all walks of life—leaders, bureaucrats, professionals, youth, students, women, senior citizens, and children—performing yoga asanas together in a colourful display of unity and wellness.
As India marked the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025, the country’s corporate sector joined the nationwide celebrations with remarkable enthusiasm. This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” resonated strongly within boardrooms and factory floors alike, highlighting the growing recognition of yoga’s role in promoting both individual well-being and organisational harmony.

GAIL
GAIL (India) Limited celebrated the International Yoga Day 2025 with vibrant energy and heartfelt participation, turning its offices into spaces of mindfulness, wellness, and unity. The event was led by Shri Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), and saw enthusiastic participation from employees across departments. Shri Rajnesh Singh, CVO, GAIL, also graced the occasion, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness in leading a balanced and fulfilling life.
In line with this year’s global theme GAIL’s celebration focused on the deep interconnection between personal well-being and planetary health. The morning began with a guided yoga session, including asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and moments of meditation. Employees, from beginners to seasoned practitioners, came together to embody the spirit of yoga, reflecting not just physical discipline but emotional clarity and spiritual harmony.
The celebration also aligned with GAIL’s ongoing public awareness initiative, Hawa Badlo, which champions clean air and sustainable living. Through this platform, GAIL emphasizes that wellness is not just personal, but planetary — reminding everyone that clean air, like good health, begins with balance.
Honda India
Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm of Honda Group Companies operating in India, organised a community-centric celebration at the Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra (HSVK) in Naurangpur, Manesar, Gurgaon (Haryana). As part of the celebration, over 200 participants from nearby villages joined for guided yoga sessions that encouraged harmony between individual well-being and collective health.
The event was graced by Mr. Vinay Dhingra and Mr. Katsuyuki Ozawa, Trustees, Honda India Foundation and Mr. Ajit Yadav, District President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Gurugram along with the Sarpanches of nearby villages. The esteemed guests engaged with the community, highlighting the importance of adopting Yoga as a way of life.
The session was designed to be inclusive and accessible, helping the participants integrate simple breathing and movement techniques into their daily lives. The celebration is a part of HIF’s continued commitment to foster preventive healthcare among rural communities. Through the HSVK Yoga Centre, the initiative has already reached and positively influenced over 20,000 individuals – a reflection of consistent community engagement and the growing relevance of yoga in our daily lifestyle.
In addition to the session at HSVK, International Yoga Day was also observed across all HMSI plants in India, where employees participated in guided Yoga sessions focussed on mindfulness, flexibility, and overall wellness. The initiative aimed to encourage employees to take a conscious pause and focus on their mental and physical health. In today’s high-pressure work environment, such initiatives serve as a reminder on the importance of self-care in sustaining both individual and organizational wellbeing. Over 900 employees took part across locations, reflecting growing awareness around the need for balance and wellness in the workplace.
Bank of Baroda
Bank of Baroda (Bank), one of India’s leading public sector banks, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 across all its offices as part of its comprehensive BOB Employee Health and Wellness Framework. Demonstrating its long-term commitment to employee well-being, Bank of Baroda launched daily live online Yoga & Meditation sessions in November 2024, to encourage employees and their families to invest 30-minutes every day in their physical and mental health.
On International Day of Yoga, the Bank organised in-person Yoga sessions for employees across locations, led virtually by a certified Yoga instructor. Further, it recognised staff members who have consistently attended the online yoga sessions since Nov 2024.
In the run-up to the Bank’s 118th Foundation Day on July 20, Bank of Baroda also announced the launch of the ‘Rise with Yoga’ campaign, an initiative to motivate employees to experience the many benefits of regularly practicing yoga.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)
The Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga with a group yoga session organised at the scenic and historic Sunder Nursery, New Delhi. The event took place on 21st June 2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees across multiple public sector undertakings.
The event was graced by the presence of Shri Sanjeev Chopra, Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Mrs Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and CMD (SECI) along with senior management of MNRE, SECI, IREDA and FCI.
The yoga session focused on enhancing physical well-being, mental clarity, and inner balance, values that align closely with SECI’s commitment to sustainability and holistic development. The practice was led by Shri Kunal Sudan and a team of certified yoga instructors from the Ministry of Ayush.

Yashoda Medicity hosted Yoga Sangam, in collaboration with the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) and with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The program started with a live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s speech, followed by a yoga demonstration. Over 500 participants, including healthcare professionals, members of nearby societies, and yoga enthusiasts, gathered at Yashoda Medicity for the event, where they performed asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of certified trainers, as part of the Common Yoga Protocol.
Distinguished guests such as Professor R.M. Acharya from Swami Vivekananda Yoga University and Shri Mahendra Nath Pandey, Former Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises of India, graced the occasion. They were joined by key stakeholders, Dr. Upasana Arora, Dr. P.N. Arora, Dr. Sunil Dagar, and other employees at Yashoda Medicity, who actively participated in the session. Their presence underscored the importance of integrating traditional wellness practices into modern healthcare.

The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) marked the International Day of Yoga 2025 with an engaging and energising yoga session at its office premises. The event highlighted the importance of holistic well-being and unity between people and the planet.
All team members at NIXI actively participated in the session, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to a healthier lifestyle. Guided by the belief that physical and mental wellness go hand in hand, the NIXI Team practiced a series of yoga asanas and breathing exercises aimed at promoting inner balance, vitality, and overall health.
The initiative reflects NIXI’s dedication to fostering a positive and health-conscious work culture, aligning with the broader vision of global harmony and personal wellness that Yoga Day represents.
The Den Bengaluru
The Den Bengaluru, a 5-star luxury hotel known for its innovative experiences, celebrated International Yoga Day in a heartwarming and impactful way. The hotel, In collaboration with Pawga, India’s first puppy yoga experience, hosted a unique puppy yoga session on its serene rooftop restaurants terrace on Saturday, June 21st at 11 AM.
This special event wasn’t just about wellness for guests. It reinforced The Den’s dedication to community and social responsibility. Through Pawga a portion of the proceeds from the yoga session was donated to Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre (CARE), a Bengaluru-based shelter supporting abandoned and rescued pets. All the puppies who joined us were also up for voluntary adoption.
The one-hour, beginner-friendly session was led by a professional instructor, offering participants the chance to unwind, de-stress, and reconnect with themselves , all while surrounded by playful, four-legged companions. The presence of the puppies not only brought joy to attendees but this initiative also helped the shelter puppies socialize, making it easy for them to be adoptable. An added benefit of this activity is that it can also ease early signs of depression in puppies growing up in lots at the shelters.
Adding to the refreshing experience, The Den Bengaluru treated guests to healthy juices and bites, showcasing their signature hospitality.

Swargashram Trust commemorated the Yoga Day with a meaningful celebration on the sacred banks of Ganga. The was graced by Mr Anil Kumar Chanliyal, SDM, Yemkeshwar. Around 350 people, including 100 students from the Swargashram Trust’s Sanskrit Vidyalaya and Bal Vidya Niketan, took part in traditional yoga practices at dawn. To mark the occasion, 100 medicinal plants were also planted.
