Amid the ongoing spree of murder, where wife kills husband with help of lover another such case had made it to the headlines. The recent shocking case is from Gurugram, Haryana. The police have arrested five individuals including a woman and her alleged lover, for the murder of her husband.

The incident came to light after the woman’s daughter discovered an explicit video of her mother with their neighbor. The daughter informed her father, triggering a deadly conspiracy by her mother.

Husband Strangled and Buried

According to police reports, the victim, Vikram (37) was a resident of Dundahera village. Vikram was originally from Nawada, Bihar. He was reportedly killed on July 26 by his wife and her lover. His wife, Soni Devi (35), who had been involved in a secret relationship with their neighbor Ravindra (34). Both accused admitted to conspiring to murder Vikram. Police revealed that both accused researched methods to kill and dispose of the body online before carrying out the crime.

Police said both Ravindra and Soni Devi had actively researched online to plan the murder. “Both the accused, Ravindra and Soni Devi, watched various methods on the Internet and YouTube to kill Vikram and dispose of the body after the murder,” said a police spokesperson.

False Complaints Filed to Mislead Police

Initially, Soni Devi filed a missing person report for Vikram on July 28 two days after his murder. Later, on July 31, she accused Ravindra of raping her during her husband’s absence. She further claimed that he had recorded the incident and threatened her with blackmail. However, police investigations exposed these claims as part of a ploy to divert suspicion.

Along with Ravindra, two young men, Manish (19) and Fariyaad (20), were arrested for helping in the crime. Ravindra’s uncle Santarpal (60), who assisted in burying Vikram’s body in a pre-dug pit near Mohammadpur Jharsa village, was also taken into custody. All suspects are currently in police custody for further questioning.

Statement of Police

“As per the plan, accused Ravindra went to meet his uncle Santarpal, who takes care of cows and buffaloes in Mohammadpur Jharsa village. Ravindra, along with his friends, then killed Vikram, and his uncle held him to bury the body in a pit which was already dug by Santarpal on Ravindra’s instructions,” the official said.

“During this entire episode, Soni Devi was in contact with Ravindra over the phone. In order to mislead the police, she first filed a missing report of her husband on July 28, while the woman knew that her husband had been murdered on July 26 and his body had been buried. We are questioning the accused,” the official added.

Confession Reveals Affair and Murder Plan

During the police investigation, Ravindra confessed to the murder and confirmed his affair with Soni Devi that lasted nearly a year. The explicit video found by the daughter was the catalyst for the murder plot. The accused admitted to strangling Vikram and burying his body to cover up the crime. Police recovered the body from the burial site based on Ravindra’s directions.

“Ravindra, along with his friends, then killed Vikram and his uncle helped him to bury the body in a pit which was already dug by Santarpal on Ravindra’s instructions,” the official added.

Meanwhile, the authorities are continuing to question the accused to uncover more details. Soni Devi remains in judicial custody, while others are held in police remand. The case highlights the grim consequences of secret relationships and attempts to deceive law enforcement through false allegations.
