A shocking incident has come to light in the small village of Karbun, located in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, where a woman is alleged to have conspired with her lover to murder her husband. The victim, Ranchhodji Darbar, was reportedly poisoned with sleeping pills before being attacked with an axe.

Details of the Conspiracy

Authorities revealed that the crime was premeditated, following the discovery of the woman’s extramarital affair with a local resident named Bhanabhai Majirana. The involvement of Dharmiba, Darbar’s wife, along with her sister Anandaba, further complicated the case.

Execution of the Murder

On the night of the murder, Dharmiba allegedly mixed sleeping pills into her husband’s dinner. After he lost consciousness, Majirana is said to have fatally struck Darbar with an axe. Anandaba is accused of aiding in the crime, although specific details regarding her involvement have not been disclosed.

Efforts to Conceal the Crime

After the murder, the accused attempted to hide the act by returning Darbar’s body to his bed, making it appear as if he had died of natural causes. However, their efforts to either dispose of or mask the circumstances of his death proved unsuccessful.

Arrests Made

The police have arrested all three suspects—Dharmiba, her alleged partner Majirana, and sister Anandaba—who have since been placed in judicial custody. Investigators stated that the motive behind the crime was closely tied to the illicit relationship and the deceased’s disapproval of it.

Legal Proceedings Initiated

A formal case has been registered against the accused on several charges, including murder, criminal conspiracy, and abetment. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with efforts continuing to gather all pertinent information surrounding this disturbing incident.
