Former BJP Leader Found Murdered in Jaipur Rural, Throat Slit Inside Scrap Warehouse

A BJP leader named Ramavtar Aswal resident of Jaipur rural, Rajasthan was found dead with his throat slit and multiple wounds on wrist. He was found lying in a pool of blood in a scrap warehouse. This incident happened late Monday night. The victim Aswal was popularly known as Pappu, he was a former BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha mandal president from Manoharpur. His body was found in a scrap yard near the bus stand by his family, when he did not return home on Monday, his family went out looking for him.

The police investigation revealed that Aswal, 55 was inside the warehouse on Monday night, when he was attacked by an unidentified attacker. The initial investigation revealed that his throat was slit, and he has injuries on wrist, suggesting Aswal tried to resist the assailant. Ramavtar was immediately rushed to NIMS hospital, but declared dead on arrival.

Evidence has been collected by forensic experts, the area has been sealed and CCTV footage sent for examination. Currently police are trying to trace the movement of the suspect through the available footage.

Aswal was a popular figure in Manoharpur, when the news of his death broke, tension spread across the town and an atmosphere of shock among locals. Angry relatives and local residents are staging a protest outside the Manoharpur police station. They are demanding an immediate arrest of the accused. Family members are demanding financial assistance from the victim’s relatives. Currently police personnel are deployed in the area in order to maintain law and order in the area.
