‘Forced Girls To Marry To Muslim Men’: Bhopal Sisters Running S*x Racket Arrested

The CSR Journal Magazine

Two separate complaints have led authorities to expose an alleged sex and religious conversion racket operated by two sisters along with their associates in Bhopal. The inquiries began after a 21-year-old beautician from Chhattisgarh and a 30-year-old woman from Bhopal reported strikingly similar experiences of being lured with promises of employment, only to find themselves victims of drugging, sexual violence, and coercion into conversion. The sisters, identified as Afreen and Amreen, have been taken into custody, while three accomplices remain at large.

Victim’s Experience Unfolds

The younger victim detailed her traumatic experience, which began in November 2025, when she was befriended by Amreen. The initial encounter took place in Abbas Nagar, Bhopal, where she reportedly fell prey to Amreen’s brother, Bilal, who allegedly drugged her drink, leading to an assault while she was incapacitated.

Following this, Amreen purportedly took her to Ahmedabad under the pretext of personal matters, where she was introduced to a man named Yasir, who also allegedly raped her. Furthermore, she claimed that Chandan Yadav, Amreen’s accomplice, assaulted her multiple times from August 2025 to January 2026.

Threats and Coercion

The victim reported a series of threats and coercion that followed her initial resistance. Photographs taken in compromising situations were reportedly used to blackmail her. Over the course of the following weeks, she stated she was made to wear revealing clothing, taken to pubs for interactions with wealthy men, and pressured into consuming drugs.

Her ordeal intensified as she was pressured to convert to a different religion and was made to don a burqa. In January, she managed to escape to Chhattisgarh to stay with her maternal uncle before returning to Bhopal in February to lodge a formal complaint with the Bagsewania police.

Second Victim Steps Forward

On the heels of the first complaint, another woman came forward with an account that echoed similar allegations of being drugged and gang-raped by the same three men: Yasir, Bilal, and Chandan. This second victim provided video evidence to support her claims. Consequently, police have initiated legal action against both the sisters and the three men on charges related to rape, criminal conspiracy, and forced religious conversion.

Details About the Accused

The sisters were residing in an affluent area, specifically the Sagar Royal Villas colony in Hoshangabad, Bhopal. Residents expressed prior suspicions about their activities, noting a pattern of late-night visits from various men and young boys to their residence.

Neighbors observed that while the sisters typically wore contemporary clothing, burqa-clad women were frequently seen visiting their flat. The police have indicated that these observations will be thoroughly investigated during the course of their inquiry.

Community Response

The case has sparked protests from local Hindu organizations. The president of Hindu Utsav Samiti, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, announced plans to initiate awareness campaigns aimed at women and young girls in the area.

He also indicated that women’s brigades would be formed at the neighborhood level. Authorities are urging calm and monitoring the situation closely, expressing concerns that the incident could incite communal tensions.
