Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Launches 13th Indian Harmonica Festival in Bhopal

The 13th edition of the Indian Harmonica Festival was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on October 2, 2026, at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal. Approximately 200 artists participated in this event, which marked its first occurrence in Bhopal. Organised by the Harmonica Association, the festival aims to celebrate the heritage of the mouth organ and provide a platform for musicians to showcase their talents.

Event Highlights and Cultural Significance

The festival not only featured performances by harmonica artists from various states but also coincided with the celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. During his address, Chief Minister Yadav extended a warm welcome and felicitated the participating artists, highlighting the importance of the occasion. While addressing the audience, CM Yadav stated, “This event is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Virasat se Vikas’ (Development through Heritage), aimed at encouraging artists from different parts of the country.” His remarks underscored the festival’s role in fostering a sense of unity among artists and celebrating India’s rich musical heritage.

Notably, young artist Siddhi Soni impressed attendees with her performance, which was praised by the Chief Minister.
