Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Inaugurate Green Corridor in Lucknow on March 13

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Lucknow, has confirmed his two-day visit to his constituency. The minister is set to inaugurate the new Green Corridor in the city as part of his agenda on March 13. Singh will arrive in Lucknow on March 12 and engage in various activities leading up to the inauguration.

Arrival and Engagement Schedule

As per Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi, Singh is expected to land at Lucknow Airport at around 8:00 p.m. on March 12. Following his arrival, he will attend a family wedding at 8:30 p.m. and will spend the night at his residence located at 5-A, Kalidas Marg. The following day, March 13, will see the Defence Minister departing from his residence at 11:20 a.m. He is scheduled to arrive at CMS Golf City in Sector C, Pocket 9, by 11:30 a.m. for the inauguration of the City Montessori School branch.

Inauguration of the Green Corridor

After visiting the residences of local MLA Yogesh Shukla and the late Vindhyavasini Kumar in Rajendra Nagar, Rajnath Singh will attend the inauguration ceremony for the Green Corridor at Samtamulk Square at approximately 4:30 p.m. The event will also be attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Following the inauguration, Singh will inspect the Green Corridor, which stretches from Samtamulk Square to Daliganj Bridge, and will acknowledge the contributions of the staff involved.

Public Address and Departure

At 5:00 p.m., the Defence Minister will address a public gathering at Jhulelal Vatika in Hasanganj. Later, he is expected to arrive back at Lucknow Airport around 6:20 p.m. before departing for Delhi. This visit marks an important local engagement for Rajnath Singh as he continues efforts to enhance infrastructure in Lucknow.

Previous Engagement in Kolkata

On a related note, earlier on March 10, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated “Sagar Sankalp – Reclaiming India’s Maritime Glory,” a defence and maritime dialogue co-organized by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Limited and a private media entity in Kolkata, West Bengal. During this event, he stressed the importance of self-reliance in navigating the current global complexities and uncertainties. Singh underlined the need for adaptability as global supply chains undergo shifts and emphasized the government’s commitment to achieving self-sufficiency across various sectors.
