Dasra, a strategic philanthropy foundation, announced dates for their flagship event, Dasra Philanthropy Week (DPW) 2022 today. Scheduled for a virtual event from 21st March – 24th March’22, the 13th edition of Dasra Philanthropy Week 2022 will bring learnings, ideas and conversations from Indian and global development sector leaders and change-makers under one roof, to accelerate rebuilding India with resilience through a GEDI (Gender, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) lens.
This year’s theme, “A Billion Thriving – Continuity, Community, Convergence”, is a sustained step towards ecosystem convening for continued action and conversations centered around communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
With power-packed sessions by the development sector’s credible voices, topics range from empowering local women leaders for inclusive cities, reimagining sustainable consumption for economic recovery of rural women, empowering communities through data, building philanthropic infrastructure, ensuring inclusive sanitation for every city, stories of collaboration for India’s informal workers, prioritising lives in philanthropy, to road to resilience, from breakdown to breakthrough. Attendees will include funders, NGOs, intermediaries, government, development sector, corporates, academic institutions and students.
Deval Sanghavi, Co-Founder and Partner, Dasra, said, “Dasra Philanthropy Week started as a platform for funders, civil society, government and businesses to congregate with the shared goal of engaging in enriching dialogue on strategic philanthropy, impact at scale and collaborative action. In its 13th edition, our resolve is stronger than ever to ensure our platform acts as a catalyst, enabling continued conversations around the needs of the social sector, amplifying voices of those with lived experiences from vulnerable communities and echoing the need for collaborative action for every Indian to be able to live with dignity and equity.”
