Indian electric two-wheeler brand with focus on ‘Make in India’ recently held an event to promote the significance of tree plantation among people and spread awareness. Under the initiative the brand has planted over 100 trees in GOVERNMENT SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL to impart the idea of going environment friendly among young minds.
The brand that was born with the idea to reduce air pollution, has been taking different initiatives from time to time to create awareness around options that can be adopted to reduce pollution. OXI Drive by Okinawa comes as another step towards the same. The event saw participation from Okinawa employees, students, teachers and Okinawa founders.
“Fighting air pollution is our ultimate aim. The whole idea behind Okinawa is to help people adapt to clean solutions and value the air they breathe. The festival is round the corner and the pollution has already reached alarming levels. The real reason behind deteriorating air quality is that people still do not take responsibility at their individual levels. The only way to feel responsible is to learn these things right from the beginning. To do the same we organized this Okinawa OXI Drive at school. We hope these little initiatives will amount to something bigger with time,” said Mr. Jeetender Sharma- MD and Founder Okinawa.
To promote electric vehicles and to burst myths related to it, Okinawa had also organized a drive from NCR to Khardungla (the highest motorable road in India) on its electric vehicle iPraise. Over the period Okinawa has seen the demand of electric vehicles rising among people. In the first month after lockdown got lifted, the brand retailed over 1000 units. Okinawa plans at retailing over 30,000 by end of the fiscal.
