Enquero Inc. and St. John’s hospital today set up the first Mobile healthcare clinic in the city, offering primary and general healthcare support to the residents residing in ST Bed Layout, Koramangala, and south-east zone. During such unprecedented times, access to general healthcare and affordability becomes a crucial factor. This initiative addresses these issues at a grassroots level.
Present at the launch were Father Dumin Diaz, Director St.Johns Medical College and Hospital and Dr.George D’Souza – The Dean of St.Johns, and Mr.Amit Paul, Station in charge for corona warriors in Koramangala and Adugodi.
Non-red zone areas were chosen for this initiative, where immediate healthcare services were required. The mobile healthcare clinic is being organized with the help of physicians, and other healthcare professionals, offers medical consultations, health check-ups and prescription-based medicine at free of cost. There are provisions made for everyone especially, people with chronic disorders, elders, pregnant women, and children. The Corona warrior group and the Civil defence team are lending their support to facilitate the program efficiently.
Doctors are also setting up awareness sessions for the clinic visitors, educating them about sanitization, precautionary measures and making their own masks during this pandemic.
Sunil B.K. – SVP & India Head – Enquero said, “This partnership with St.John’s Hospital comes as a vital initiative to tackle the general healthcare disparity our society is facing these days. We, as an organization, have always believed in giving back to society, our main objective here is to provide medical care to everyone without them having to worry about cost or commute. We are hopeful to meet our target of attending 100-150 patients in a day. A special ‘thank you’ to the Koramangala police and civil defence squad for enforcing social distancing, thus, facilitating the smooth operation of this outreach program”
The mobile healthcare clinic is becoming a standard alternative, which, could be replicated to reach a greater part of the population.
