As India continues to battle COVID-19, Marico Limited has once again stepped up and introduced multiple CSR initiatives. The organisation has directed its resources towards aiding this fight against the virus. The company has spent over Rs. 12 crore in COVID support since the start of the pandemic last year.

Donation of Hygiene Kits

With a commitment to safeguard the lives of those who are fighting the battle on-ground, Marico Limited has donated sanitizers worth Rs. 1 crore across various cities to frontline professionals including government organisations, police, hospitals and health staff. The distribution of these kits has already begun in Tamil Nadu as we continue to expand our reach to include more beneficiaries across multiple states.

Fundraising with GiveIndia

Recognising that medical infrastructure is one of the most crucial needs of the hour, Marico Limited has committed to raising Rs. 2 Crore in collaboration with GiveIndia. The proceeds will be invested in various hospitals to strengthen the health care system in this fight against COVID-19. For every rupee that is donated by individuals, the organisation has pledged to match it in order to achieve its target.
Given the rise in need for medical equipment, the funds will also be utilized for providing PPE kits, Oxygen generators, sanitisation stands and other hospital equipment to small hospitals across the country.

Members at manufacturing plants

Marico recognises the selfless efforts put in by its own heroes including the manufacturing teams, supply chain teams, distribution partners and sales teams in ensuring that essential products are delivered to the consumers safely in compliance with the government guidelines. To continue keeping these heroes safe, Marico has increased the safety measures and adopted all necessary precautions.
Apart from personal protective equipment and an increase in the frequency of disinfection and fumigation, Marico has established strict social distancing measures. Automated gate controls, cameras tracking adherence to social distancing protocols are some of the steps taken to ensure safety at manufacturing plants.
