The Chambal water project is intended to cater to the urban growth requirements of various cities, according to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Speaking in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, on September 20, Scindia clarified that the initiative is not confined to one locale but aims to serve the entire Gwalior-Chambal division. He described the project as essential for securing sustainable water supplies for both Gwalior and Morena, which are integral cities in the region.

Scindia emphasised the significance of the water supply project, noting that it will provide access to drinking water for the residents of both cities. With the increasing population in Gwalior, the demand for a reliable water source has become increasingly pertinent. The project is seen as a critical step in meeting these expanding urban demands.

According to Scindia, fulfilling the region’s water needs has been a longstanding vision of his late father, Madhavrao Scindia. The minister underscored that support for the project has also been expressed by Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, showcasing a collaborative effort to ensure its successful implementation.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also announced plans for an IT Park situated within an engineering college campus in Ujjain. This initiative aims to bridge the unemployment gap for youth by providing both education and job opportunities. Yadav stated that the facility will serve as a hub for integrating academic training with future career prospects.

Yadav explained that the IT Park is part of the broader governmental efforts to improve employment opportunities for young people in the state.
