Telugu actor Prabhas is celebrating his 47th birthday on October 23, and a special message from the team behind Salaar has ignited enthusiasm among his fans regarding the sequel. The actor met with director Prashanth Neel just before his birthday, and a social media post from the film’s official account hinted at their collaboration for the upcoming project.

The Salaar team shared a photograph of Prabhas alongside Prashanth Neel, accompanied by a birthday greeting that also hinted at their next venture together. The post read, “A special day and a special reunion. Wishing our one and only Violent Man, #Prabhas a spectacular birthday! We can’t wait to see this DINO-mite duo back in action #Salaar2.”

Likitha Reddy, Prashanth Neel’s wife, also contributed to the birthday wishes by sharing a photo of Prabhas giving her a side hug and a kiss on the cheek. She expressed her affection with the message, “Happy birthday to my Fauji… (sic),” and included the hashtag #annaya, which translates to brother, along with heart emojis.

Fans React to the Birthday Post

The birthday post quickly garnered attention from fans, many of whom took to X to share their excitement about the reunion of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. One user expressed their enthusiasm with the phrase, “Salaar Devaratha Raisaar.” Another fan chimed in, stating, “Praneel nation…we are so backkkk.” A third user encapsulated the anticipation surrounding the sequel by commenting, “the hype for this sequel at release will be at unprecedented levels.”

This reunion has reignited discussions about the continuation of Salaar, which concluded with the characters Deva and Varadha on the brink of a larger conflict. The first film established a complex relationship between the two characters, portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, set against the backdrop of Khansaar, a fictional city characterised by political tensions, shifting allegiances, and violence.

Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam is expected to delve deeper into the narrative of Deva and Varadha, as the first instalment concluded at a pivotal moment in their relationship. The sequel is anticipated to explore their alliance and the ongoing power struggle in Khansaar.
