Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has confirmed that BJP National President Nitin Nabin will visit Ujjain on September 17 to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The Chief Minister stated that a programme titled “Vikas Ka Deepak” will take place in the city that is home to the revered Baba Mahakal temple.

Speaking with reporters in Bhopal, CM Yadav elaborated on a series of significant events and developmental initiatives to be held across the state in honour of the Prime Minister’s birthday. These activities will focus on public service and local development, aiming to underscore Modi’s impact on the nation.

On the same day, the Madhya Pradesh government will launch a month-long Sewa Sankalp campaign, which aims to celebrate PM Modi’s long-standing commitment to public service and leadership. The campaign is expected to feature multiple activities aimed at engaging the local populace.

Deepotsav Celebration in Ujjain

A major highlight will be the Deepotsav event scheduled for Ujjain, where a “Vikas Ka Deepak” will be illuminated to represent the region’s aspirations for progress. This initiative aims to foster a sense of community and collective growth.

The Chief Minister also expressed appreciation for the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park, which was recently granted to Madhya Pradesh. He stressed the potential for job creation, noting that over 6,000 local farmers are already benefiting from this initiative. “The PM MITRA Park has immense potential for creating employment,” he stated.

Yadav commented on Prime Minister Modi’s impressive track record, first as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and now in his role as Prime Minister. He emphasised how Modi’s leadership has continued to elevate India’s standing on the global stage.

Preparations for the Visit

Prior to the announcement, Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal indicated that Nitin Nabin’s visit to the state had been proposed for September 17. Khandelwal made these remarks following the installation of an idol of Lord Ganesha at the party’s office in Bhopal, as part of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

“Once it is confirmed, we will provide further details about the programme,” Khandelwal stated, referencing a planned visit to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. He indicated that the national leadership would need to approve the visit before any specifics could be made public.

Khandelwal reiterated that the proposed activities would coincide with PM Modi’s birthday and the launch of various programmes initiated by the BJP within the state. Under the Sewa Sankalp campaign, a Deepotsav will be conducted at multiple locations from grassroots levels to significant public spaces across Madhya Pradesh.

The party has identified one or two locations in each district for the celebrations, along with major sites at the state level. A substantial Deepotsav event is also set to occur at Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, emphasising the local significance of the occasion.

Furthermore, Khandelwal mentioned that the installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol at the BJP office is a tradition, which he hopes will bring prosperity to the country.
