Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, is scheduled to visit Karimnagar on October 4 to participate in the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Prathima Medical College. During his visit, he will also lay the foundation stone for the Prathima Deemed University building and engage in various activities at the college.

Preparations Underway for the Event

In advance of the visit, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the state BJP president, inspected the college campus to review the arrangements. His visit included an evaluation of the helipad, areas designated for the unveiling of the pylon, and the site where the foundation stone will be laid for the new university building. Kumar’s inspections also encompassed the venue for a planned student interaction programme and a photo exhibition.

Accompanying Kumar during this review were several dignitaries, including City Police Commissioner Gaus Alam, Mayor Kolagani Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Sunil Rao, and BJP District President Sayini Mallesham. They were joined by representatives from Prathima management, such as Boinipalli Srinivasa Rao and Chennamaneni Vikas Rao, as well as Karimnagar Parliament Convenor Boyinapalli Praveen Rao.

Sanjay Kumar expressed his sentiments to the press, emphasising the significance of the college, which was inaugurated 25 years ago by prominent figures including then Union Home Minister LK Advani and then Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu. The forthcoming attendance of Amit Shah at the Silver Jubilee celebrations was described as a notable event.
