A collaborative effort between the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Poonch police resulted in the recovery of a significant terrorist cache from the Gani Forest area in Jammu and Kashmir. This operation took place on Wednesday, February 25. The arms cache was discovered hidden beneath a natural cave, showcasing the strategic efforts of the security forces.
The seized items included a large Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 4.5 kilograms, a smaller IED of 800 grams, two Chinese grenades, one 9 mm pistol, two rounds of 9 mm ammunition, and twenty-two rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition. The operation was described as a meticulously coordinated effort based on intelligence inputs received from various sources, including the Jammu and Kashmir police.
After the recovery of the explosives, the Bomb Disposal Team was called in to address the threat posed by the IEDs and grenades. The team successfully destroyed the hazardous materials on-site, ensuring the safety of both local civilians and military personnel involved in the operation.

Authorities stated that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to neutralize terrorist threats and prevent infiltration attempts in the border district of Poonch. The Indian Army and SOG Poonch have been actively engaging in anti-terror operations, maintaining a vigilant stance to address security challenges in an area known for its sensitivity.
