AR Rahman To Unveil AI-Created Tribute Asha Forever On Asha Bhosle’s Birth Anniversary

The CSR Journal Magazine

On the occasion of Asha Bhosle’s birth anniversary, AR Rahman will launch Asha Forever, a tribute song he recorded alongside the iconic singer prior to her passing. This project aims to honour the legendary artist’s legacy through a unique celebration that incorporates artificial intelligence technologies.

Asha Forever was initially envisioned as a grand event during Asha Bhosle’s lifetime, one that would gather numerous prominent figures from the entertainment sector. The celebration was intended to highlight her enormous contributions to music while emphasising the connections she fostered with various generations of artists.

However, after Asha Bhosle’s demise, the planned celebration could not occur. As a result, Rahman sought to ensure that the essence of the original vision remained intact. This led to the incorporation of AI technology to help realise a celebration that could effectively honour Bhosle’s legacy.

AI Technology Utilised For Virtual Celebration

The use of AI in Asha Forever allows for the recreation of Asha Bhosle’s envisioned celebration despite the absence of a physical gathering. The tribute will incorporate AI-generated representations of stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Karan Johar, among others.

According to sources associated with the project, this technological approach was carefully considered and undertaken with the consent of all parties involved. The aim is to faithfully construct a celebration that Asha Bhosle would have experienced in her lifetime, had circumstances allowed.

A source familiar with the details stated that Rahman had initially intended to gather the industry’s elite in a momentous event celebrating Asha Bhosle’s impact on music and her relationships. Despite her passing, Rahman was determined to realise the tribute, which ultimately led to the decision to employ AI as part of the project.

Project Background and Future Plans

The project has been in development for a period of time, with AR Rahman first discussing Asha Forever in June. He released a teaser at that time, featuring Asha Bhosle in the recording studio. Rahman expressed aspirations for her to witness the final product, showcasing the love and admiration surrounding her artistry.

Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92. Her passing marked the end of an era, but projects like Asha Forever aim to extend her influence beyond her lifetime.

As the launch date approaches, excitement and anticipation continue to build around Asha Forever. The project stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Asha Bhosle, ensuring that her contributions to music will not be forgotten while also exploring new technological avenues in the realm of tribute and celebration.
