Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ Delayed to August 2026, ‘Golmaal 5’ Shoot Set to Begin

The CSR Journal Magazine

After concluding a significant filming schedule for director Anees Bazmee’s family comedy, Akshay Kumar is preparing to dive into another project. According to sources, the actor is set to start filming for Golmaal 5 from the end of March. He has reportedly scheduled 18 days for this film, indicating a continuous shooting plan commencing late in the month.

Delay in Bhagam Bhag 2 Production

Recent developments have caused a delay in the production of Bhagam Bhag 2, primarily due to a legal dispute involving producer Ekta Kapoor and director Raaj Shandilyaa. Although a public relations entity had previously claimed that the project remains on schedule, more information indicates otherwise.

Sources confirm that the shooting for Bhagam Bhag 2 has now been postponed to August 2026. The film was initially supposed to start in March, but complications arising from the legal issues have led to a rescheduling. It appears the timing for all involved parties to regroup is now set for later in the year. The team is actively working on rescheduling the shoot and is optimistic that the legal matters will be resolved by the time filming recommences.

While it was anticipated that Akshay Kumar would be available for filming in March and April, those plans have shifted to August. There is potential for the production team to secure a few days of filming in the interim, should the scheduling allow for it. Currently, Akshay’s calendar is fully booked, though he may consider providing some time for Bhagam Bhag 2 if a suitable window opens.

Future Projects for Akshay Kumar

In addition to Golmaal 5, Akshay Kumar is slated to work on another comedy before returning to Bhagam Bhag 2. His commitment to these projects illustrates his active involvement in the Bollywood film industry.
