Akasa Air has officially commenced operations from Darbhanga Airport in Bihar, marking a significant milestone as the airline’s first entry into the state. This expansion sees Darbhanga becoming the 28th destination in Akasa Air’s growing network across India. The inaugural flight was officiated by the Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. The ceremony included notable figures such as Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, and other senior officials. The first flight took off from Delhi at 09:00 hours and arrived in Darbhanga at 10:55 hours, marking the successful start of services from this new location.

The new flight route facilitates daily connections between Darbhanga and Hyderabad via Delhi, allowing passengers to travel directly without the need for changing aircraft in the capital.
