The remarkable journey of ‘Maharaja’ was bolstered by its strong performance in China, where it reportedly earned Rs 91.65 crore at the box office, according to Sacnilk. The film also garnered substantial viewership on OTT platforms. Sudhan explained that the Hollywood agency approached them for the remake rights in light of this success, indicating the film’s popularity had resonated with audiences further afield.

Following this interest from Hollywood, the agency is working to assemble the project, with plans for filming to commence by next year. The project aims to adapt the narrative for a new audience while retaining the essence of the original story.
