The Delhi Police have apprehended two individuals connected to the alleged gang rape of a minor near the Kalkaji Temple. This development occurred on September 22, following an earlier arrest of one of the accused. The arrested suspects are identified as Hemant and Mukesh.

The incident took place on the evening of September 21, when three men, reportedly posing as police officers, approached the minor and her friend. Allegedly, they threatened the duo before transporting the minor to a secluded area within a park next to Kalkaji Temple, where the assault is said to have occurred.

Shortly after the incident, a police control room (PCR) call was received around 8:45 pm, prompting a swift response from law enforcement personnel. Upon their arrival, the minor was promptly taken for a medical examination, and the police commenced an investigation into the matter.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Following the initial report, law enforcement began examining CCTV footage from the vicinity, including the park and surrounding areas, to gain insights into the events leading to the crime and to identify the suspects. This investigation yielded results as a police team managed to apprehend one suspect after a brief exchange of gunfire.

In light of this development, a coordinated search operation was launched to locate the remaining suspects. The arrest of Hemant and Mukesh ensures that all three individuals alleged to have been involved in the incident are now in custody. The police are now focused on uncovering further details regarding their participation in the crime.
