Reddy criticized what he termed negligence in food safety enforcement, highlighting that such lapses jeopardize public health. Meanwhile, during a discussion in the Assembly regarding the adulterated milk case in Rajahmundry, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the situation by announcing an ex gratia compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the relatives of the deceased. He confirmed that a detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated, with a commitment to take stringent action if any intentional contamination is identified. Naidu reassured the public that the government remains vigilant and will act without negligence in these matters.

The Chief Minister also assured that the government would cover all medical expenses for those currently receiving treatment due to the milk contamination incident.
