Reddy extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and offered prayers for the swift recovery of those in medical care, as stated in a party announcement.

Call for Stringent Action Against Food Safety Negligence

Reddy criticized what he termed negligence in food safety enforcement, highlighting that such lapses jeopardize public health. He urged the government to implement strict measures against those responsible for the adulteration of milk. The YSRCP leader pointed out that these occurrences underscore significant deficiencies in monitoring and regulatory frameworks, stressing the necessity for immediate remedial actions to prevent future incidents.

Health Department Urged to Ensure Quality Care

In his address, Reddy called upon the Health Department to take prompt action in managing the situation by providing top-quality medical care to the affected individuals. He emphasized the importance of closely observing their health status and, if required, deploying specialized medical teams for thorough treatment. Government Announces Compensation and Inquiry

Meanwhile, during a discussion in the Assembly regarding the adulterated milk case in Rajahmundry, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the situation by announcing an ex gratia compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the relatives of the deceased. He confirmed that a detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated, with a commitment to take stringent action if any intentional contamination is identified. Naidu reassured the public that the government remains vigilant and will act without negligence in these matters.

Commitment to Cover Medical Expenses

The Chief Minister also assured that the government would cover all medical expenses for those currently receiving treatment due to the milk contamination incident. He expressed profound sympathy for the families affected by this tragedy and reiterated the administration’s dedication to addressing the underlying issues related to food safety in the state.
