Ferrari has introduced its Universo Ferrari exhibition in India, marking the first time this immersive showcase has been held in the country. The exhibition commenced on October 17, 2026, in New Delhi and will remain open to the public until November 1, 2026. This event not only highlights the brand’s iconic sports cars but also its rich motorsport heritage, personalisation programmes, and future technological advancements.
The exhibition signifies Ferrari’s commitment to expanding its retail presence in India. The company has announced plans to establish two new dealerships by the end of 2026. In collaboration with KUN Group, a dealership will be set up in Chennai, while Infinity Group will facilitate the expansion into Ahmedabad. This strategic move aims to enhance customer engagement and maintain Ferrari’s focus on exclusivity and personalised service.
Inaugurated by Ferrari’s CEO Benedetto Vigna, the exhibition provides an extensive overview of the brand’s diverse activities, encompassing road cars, racing, heritage, and personalisation. Visitors can expect to see a variety of significant models and projects that define Ferrari’s legacy.
Showcasing Iconic Models and Innovations
Universo Ferrari features an impressive array of vehicles, including the SF-26 Formula 1 car, the Le Mans-winning 499P, and the 296 GT3 alongside the 296 Challenge race car. The road car section includes notable models such as the 849 Testarossa Spider, 12Cilindri Spider, Amalfi Spider, and the F80 supercar. Each of these cars exemplifies Ferrari’s engineering excellence and design prowess.
Additionally, the exhibition highlights the Ferrari Luce, showcasing the innovative ideas, technology, and craftsmanship behind this project. Other remarkable exhibits include the Daytona SP3, equipped with an 840cv V12 engine, and a Tailor Made 12Cilindri Manuale. The Ferrari Classiche section presents iconic models like the F50 and 365 GTB4, along with a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti that participated in the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour, which spanned 13,000 km across India.
The 612 Scaglietti was driven by over 50 international journalists, introducing India’s diverse landscapes and cultural landmarks to a global audience. The exhibition also features Ferrari Hypersail, representing the company’s venture into sailing, which extends its focus on performance and innovation beyond automotive racing.
Tailor Made India Project and Educational Initiatives
A significant highlight of Universo Ferrari is the Tailor Made India project, developed in collaboration with students from the National Institute of Design (NID). This initiative encouraged students to explore the identities of ten Indian cities, leading to the creation of digital vehicle configurations that reflect local culture. The project features five configurations each for the Ferrari 12Cilindri and Purosangue, inspired by cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, and Goa.
The designs incorporate colours, materials, and patterns that embody the unique character and cultural diversity of each city. Furthermore, Ferrari has invited around 1,000 students to partake in seminars and exchanges focused on leadership, innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship, providing valuable opportunities for interaction with industry leaders.
In conjunction with the exhibition, a charity auction has been organised by Ferrari and Avelon Luxe, featuring ten lots. The proceeds from this auction will support educational initiatives by Save the Children and Bal Raksha Bharat in India, focusing on school readiness and foundational learning resources. Avelon Luxe has also become Ferrari’s India-based partner for the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series, enhancing its association with the brand’s motorsport activities.
To further celebrate the exhibition, 25 Ferraris completed a journey of approximately 1,800 km from Mumbai to New Delhi, passing through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Agra. This drive brought together Ferrari owners and enthusiasts ahead of the exhibition, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. Tickets for Universo Ferrari India are available through District until November 1, 2023.
