Twinkle Khanna Dazzles in Embellished Kaftan at Bvlgari’s Diwali Event in Jaipur

The CSR Journal Magazine

Twinkle Khanna recently attended Bvlgari’s Diwali event in Jaipur, where the luxury brand showcased a remarkable light installation titled ‘Passing The Light’. This installation features 4,500 handcrafted clay pieces, designed to celebrate the festival of lights. The event gathered numerous celebrities, with Khanna sharing her experience on social media. She posted pictures from the event, captioning them, “This Diwali #PassingtheLight with @bvlgari. An artistic ode to India.”

Twinkle Khanna’s Attire

For the occasion, Twinkle Khanna opted for a stunning kaftan dress that perfectly balanced elegance and comfort. The outfit is characterised by its intricate embroidery and relaxed silhouette, featuring a plunging V neckline and full-length sleeves with slits at the cuffs. The design also includes thigh-high slits on the sides, adding a touch of allure to the overall look.

The kaftan is made from a golden beige fabric, adorned with detailed shimmering beaded embroidery throughout. The hand-embellished hem and cuffs contribute to the ensemble’s intricate beauty, while the lightweight material enhances its overall appeal. Khanna’s choice of attire reflects her keen sense of style, merging traditional elements with contemporary fashion.

In addition to the kaftan, Khanna accessorised her look with a striking Serpenti diamond necklace from Bvlgari. This luxurious piece features diamonds, an emerald stone, and delicate gold detailing, making it a statement accessory. She complemented the necklace with matching Serpenti diamond earrings, a diamond ring, gold peep-toe heels, and a gold mini handbag, completing her elegant appearance.

Khanna styled her hair in soft waves with a side parting, allowing her tresses to cascade gracefully. Her makeup was equally sophisticated, featuring a glossy pink lip shade, rouge-tinted cheeks, kohl-lined eyes, and mascara-coated lashes. A beaming highlighter added a radiant finish to her overall look, showcasing her attention to detail.

Details About the Installation

The ‘Passing The Light’ installation, created by contemporary artist Doyel Joshi, is a significant artistic expression that incorporates 4,500 hand-sculpted terracotta elements. These elements draw inspiration from Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti design, integrating traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art. The project aims to foster a dialogue about cultural appreciation and the importance of craftsmanship.

By collaborating with traditional artisans and local craftswomen, the installation highlights the significance of the diya, a symbol of light and knowledge in Indian culture. The initiative not only showcases artistic talent but also emphasises the responsibility that comes with drawing inspiration from diverse cultures. This aspect of the project opens up discussions about the transmission of skills and the respect for heritage.

Bvlgari unveiled the installation on October 11, sharing a video on Instagram that highlighted the collaboration with Joshi and the kumhar community. The caption noted, “Bvlgari unveils Passing the Light, a collaboration with artist Doyel Joshi, the kumhar community, and local craftswomen in celebration of Diwali.” The artwork serves as a tribute to the knowledge and rituals passed down through generations of artisans, mirroring Bvlgari’s own commitment to preserving traditional techniques in its ateliers.
