“Toxic” Film Surpasses Rs 313 Crore Global Box Office in Week One

Following its initial six days of release, the Geetu Mohandas-directed film has successfully surpassed the Rs 300-crore mark globally. By Day 7, the worldwide box office collection reached Rs 313.55 crore, despite facing a combination of mixed reviews and the anticipated decline in weekday earnings.

Trade analysis from Sacnilk reports that on Day 7 alone, “Toxic” added Rs 8.20 crore to its nett collection in India, based on 12,892 screenings. The domestic nett total is now at Rs 229.95 crore, while the gross collection in India has reached Rs 272.80 crore. The film has not only retained its domestic appeal but has also continued to strengthen its position in international markets.

On the international front, “Toxic” reported an additional Rs 1.50 crore in earnings on Day 7, which brings the overseas gross to Rs 40.75 crore. Consequently, the global gross revenue now stands at Rs 313.55 crore, marking a significant milestone. With this achievement, the film sets its sights on the next target of Rs 320 crore on a worldwide scale.

The India nett collection recorded Rs 5.60 crore from Hindi audiences, followed by Rs 1.75 crore from Kannada, Rs 60 lakh from Telugu, Rs 5 lakh from Malayalam, and Rs 20 lakh from Tamil. Over its opening weekend, “Toxic” debuted with robust international earnings, amassing Rs 20 crore on its first day globally. Subsequent days saw the film earning Rs 8 crore on Day 2 and Rs 3.50 crore on Day 3. By the conclusion of Day 5, the film’s overseas gross reached Rs 29.25 crore, having added another Rs 2 crore on Day 6 to bring the international total to Rs 39.25 crore.

This brings the overall domestic nett collection to Rs 229.75 crore.
