The launch of the Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition marks a significant milestone for the brand in India, with a price tag of Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This model introduces exclusive elements while updating the standard Hayabusa model to enhance its appeal to enthusiasts. The updated variant also comes with a new price of Rs 18.99 lakh, making the Special Edition Rs 91,000 more expensive.

In addition to the Special Edition, Suzuki is offering the standard Hayabusa in three fresh colour combinations: Candy Daring Red with Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray with Candy Burnt Gold, and Pearl Vigor Blue with Pearl Brilliant White. These updates are aimed at enriching the aesthetic choices available to potential buyers.

The Special Edition is tailored for a unique riding experience, featuring a striking Pearl Vigor Blue colour along with distinctive styling components designed to differentiate it from the regular model, ensuring that it stands out on the roads.

Specifications and Electronic Features

Both variants of the Hayabusa have been equipped with advanced electronic features that focus on improving rider experience. The motorcycles now come with a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which is lighter and more compact than previous models, reportedly offering enhanced voltage stability under various loads.

Moreover, Suzuki has revised the Launch Control System and the Power Mode Selector, contributing to improved performance. The Smart Cruise Control system has been updated to function even during gear changes, which allows the rider to maintain a consistent speed without needing to engage the throttle. Other notable electronic assistance systems, such as Motion Track Traction Control and a bi-directional quick-shifter, continue to be a part of the offer.

Additional rider-friendly features are included, such as the Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist, and Slope Dependent Control, all aiming to enhance the motorcycle’s usability in various riding conditions.

Engine and Design Features

The Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a robust 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline four-cylinder engine. Suzuki has tuned this engine to provide a wide torque spread and notable acceleration, aimed at both performance enthusiasts and casual riders alike. The motorcycle also showcases an Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program to ensure an engaging auditory experience without compromising ride comfort.

The motorcycle’s chassis comprises a twin-spar aluminium frame coupled with adjustable KYB inverted front forks. For braking, it employs Brembo Stylema front callipers along with dual 320mm full-floating discs, while the tyres are Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22, ensuring enhanced grip and stability.

In terms of design, the Hayabusa features aerodynamically tested bodywork that prioritises wind protection, especially during high-speed rides. The aesthetic design includes LED lighting, further complementing an established suite of electronic rider aids aimed at improving overall safety and performance.

The Hayabusa Special Edition, along with the updated standard model, is now available at Suzuki Motorcycle India’s dealerships across the nation, providing prospective buyers with a range of options to choose from, catering to both their performance desires and design preferences.
