Salim Khan, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital after a nearly month-long hospitalisation linked to a minor brain haemorrhage. The 87-year-old writer had been admitted for medical care on February 17 and required continuous observation throughout his stay.

During his time at the hospital, Khan was under the care of Dr. Jalil Parkar and was initially placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) for close monitoring. Hospital authorities reported that his condition stabilized over the weeks, eventually allowing for his release.

The announcement of Khan’s hospital stay garnered considerable attention, prompting frequent visits from family members, notably his son Salman Khan. Several relatives and colleagues from the film industry expressed their concern for his wellbeing, with many visiting or providing updates on his health status.

His son, Arbaaz Khan, recently provided positive insights regarding his father’s recovery. In interactions with the media, he conveyed that Salim Khan had shown signs of improvement and was making satisfactory progress.

Javed Akhtar, a longstanding collaborator and close friend of Khan, also offered supportive remarks during a public event. He revealed that Khan was now able to sit up and engage in conversation, highlighting the advancements in his recovery.

Actor Aamir Khan, who visited the family during this challenging time, expressed hope for Salim’s recovery as well. Although he was unable to meet Khan directly due to ICU protocols, he spent time with family members who remained optimistic and encouraged about his father’s improving condition.
