CBSE Announces Class 12 Special Examination Dates Starting October 23

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the datesheet for the Class 12 special examinations aimed at candidates from West Asian countries, with the exams slated to commence on October 23, 2026. This notification was made public through an official circular issued on October 8, 2026.

These special examinations are being organised for students whose subjects could not be conducted during the regular March-April examination cycle due to the prevailing circumstances in the region. The specific datesheet corresponds to candidates who submitted their List of Candidates (LOC) for these special exams as specified in the board’s circular dated September 15.

Each country will have one designated examination centre, determined according to the LOC provided by the candidates. This approach aims to streamline the examination process for students residing outside India.

Examination Schedule And Subject Details

The examinations will occur over a span of five days, from October 23 to October 28, with a scheduled break on October 25. Most of the examinations will be conducted from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm; however, certain vocational subjects have shorter durations, concluding at 12.30 pm.

The planned subjects for examination include a range of academic disciplines. On the first day, students will take Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics, all on October 23. Following this, Psychology and Business Studies are scheduled for October 24.

On October 26, candidates will be assessed in Biology, Information Technology, Marketing, Multimedia, and Artificial Intelligence, while Home Science, Informatics Practices, and Computer Science are scheduled for October 27. The final examination will be English Core, occurring on October 28.

Admit Card Information For Candidates

CBSE has instructed eligible candidates to download their admit cards starting from October 12, 2026, through the same login credentials used for their examination application. This will allow them to access important information related to their exam schedules.

Candidates are advised to verify details such as their examination date, subject, and designated centres thoroughly before attending the examinations. The board has reiterated that exams will be conducted strictly in accordance with the datesheet and at the centres assigned based on the LOC submissions.

Instructions provided on the admit cards must be followed diligently, and candidates are expected to arrive at their respective examination centres punctually. Adhering to these guidelines will ensure a smooth examination experience.
