Royal Enfield Launches Continental GT 750 and Flying Flea S6 at EICMA

The CSR Journal Magazine

Royal Enfield has introduced the Continental GT 750 during the EICMA 2026 event, expanding its 750cc motorcycle range. This new model shares its platform and engine with the recently launched Himalayan 750 but features a unique mechanical setup, hardware modifications, and design elements that cater to its café racer identity.

While complete specifications for the Continental GT 750 have not yet been disclosed, it is expected to present several intriguing differences compared to its adventure-oriented counterpart. The motorcycle retains the familiar parallel-twin engine configuration but opts for a cable-operated throttle rather than the electronic throttle system found in the Himalayan 750. Additionally, the exhaust system has been redesigned, featuring twin exhaust pipes instead of the Himalayan’s 2-into-1 configuration.

The shared 743cc engine is known to produce 55hp and 63Nm in the Himalayan 750. The Continental GT 750 is anticipated to deliver similar performance figures, although the final tuning details remain unconfirmed.

Hardware and Features of Continental GT 750

The Continental GT 750 appears to maintain the fundamental frame architecture of the existing Continental GT 650, albeit with modifications to accommodate the larger engine. The suspension system consists of telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, both equipped with preload adjustment. Notably, the new model employs conventional rear springs and linear-rate suspension components, differing from the progressive, gas-charged setup used in the 650cc variant.

Braking is managed by twin discs at the front, replacing the single-disc setup of the Continental GT 650. Although the hardware seems to be shared with the Himalayan 750, Royal Enfield has yet to officially confirm this information. Furthermore, the instrument console has been updated; the Continental GT 750 features a twin-pod instrument cluster with analogue-style sweeping needles and a small TFT screen positioned at the bottom. The switchgear includes metal switch cubes, contributing to a more premium appearance.

Royal Enfield will offer the Continental GT 750 in three distinct colour options: Master Clean, Red Line, and TT Blue. The Master Clean and Red Line variants come with chrome detailing, wire-spoke wheels, and tubed tyres, along with a small front quarter fairing that enhances their sporty look. In contrast, the TT Blue variant adopts a different approach, featuring alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, along with a more relaxed riding position and the absence of a front fairing.

Launch Timeline and Flying Flea S6 Details

The Continental GT 750 is projected to weigh less than the Continental GT 650, which weighs 214kg. However, Royal Enfield has not yet revealed its kerb weight or other essential specifications. The motorcycle is expected to launch in India in 2027, likely during the first quarter of the year. The Himalayan 750 is anticipated to arrive earlier, with its India launch expected at the upcoming MotoVerse event.

In addition to the Continental GT 750, Royal Enfield showcased the production version of the Flying Flea S6 at EICMA 2026. This model is the brand’s second electric motorcycle under the Flying Flea sub-brand and features a scrambler-oriented design, distinguishing it from the C6. The S6 is equipped with long-travel upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, riding on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels with tubed tyres.

Unlike the C6, which employs a belt drive, the S6 features a conventional chain-drive system. It is expected to share its powertrain with the C6 but may receive a different tuning to align with its scrambler-focused design. The Flying Flea S6 will be available in three colour options: yellow, grey, and carbon, and is scheduled for sale in 2027.
