In the video, the Pakistani player, frustrated by defeat, initially ignored the Indian player’s extended hand for the customary handshake. When he finally returned to complete the gesture, he did so aggressively, making contact in a brusque manner before abruptly shaking off the Indian’s hand in a move widely condemned as disrespectful and against the spirit of the sport.
