O’Romeo Audience Ratings and Reviews Suspended on BookMyShow Following Court Directive

The CSR Journal Magazine

The recently launched film O’Romeo, featuring prominent actors Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, has had its audience ratings and public reviews removed from the ticketing platform BookMyShow. This decision follows a court order, marking a distinctive occurrence for a Hindi film just after its theatrical release on February 13, 2026.

Box Office Performance and Initial Reception

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, O’Romeo experienced a mixed reception at the box office. Initial data indicated that the film’s audience rating on BookMyShow started at approximately 6.8 and increased to about 7 on the second day before the section for ratings and reviews was entirely disabled.

Notice on the Platform

Visitors to the film’s page on BookMyShow are now greeted with a notification stating, “Reviews and ratings disabled as per court order.” While there has been no comprehensive explanation from either BookMyShow or the film’s producers regarding the legal basis for this action, industry experts suggest that the move may reflect concerns about organized negative campaigns and review manipulation that could affect public perception of the movie.

Cast and Audience Reaction

O’Romeo boasts a noteworthy ensemble, including Vikrant Massey, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Nana Patekar, among others. Although the film has garnered attention for its stylistic choices and performances, audience reactions have been mixed. Some viewers have praised its ambition, while others have pointed out issues with pacing and narrative consistency.
