The newly appointed office-bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) extended their gratitude to the central leadership for assigning them new responsibilities within the party. This acknowledgment occurred shortly after the announcements regarding their appointments, marking a significant moment for the party.

Nitin Nabin, the BJP national president, stated that the new team is expected to inject fresh energy into the organisation and further its vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’. This vision reflects the party’s long-standing goals for the nation’s development.

Bharti Pawar, appointed as the BJP national vice president, expressed her honour at being entrusted with this responsibility. She conveyed her deep appreciation for the trust placed in her, emphasising her commitment to perform her duties sincerely and in the best interest of the party.

Key Appointments and Their Statements

Jai Prakash, who has taken the role of national secretary, acknowledged the significant trust placed in him by the party’s top leadership. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitin Nabin, Home Minister Amit Shah, and General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh for the opportunity and pledged to meet their expectations in this new role.

Roopkumari Choudhary, now serving as the National President of the Mahila Morcha, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to advocating for women’s issues. She noted the importance of upholding women’s rights, dignity, and safety, asserting that the BJP has consistently prioritised these concerns within both the party and governance.

Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, who has been appointed as a National Vice President, thanked the party’s central leadership while reaffirming his dedication to serving the BJP. He noted the Prime Minister’s vision for making India the world’s leading developed nation by 2047, vowing to work diligently towards that goal.

Composition of the New Team

The announcement of the new team comes almost six months following Nitin Nabin’s assumption of the party presidency. This latest assembly comprises a blend of experienced leaders and emerging new faces, aimed at revitalising the party’s operations.

BL Santosh will maintain his role as National General Secretary (Organisation). Key appointments as general secretaries include former Amethi MP Smriti Irani, former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, and several others who have been tasked with pivotal responsibilities within the party hierarchy.

In total, numerous senior leaders have been assigned as National Vice Presidents, including notable names like former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Ram Madhav. Six out of the thirteen new vice presidents are women, reflecting the party’s continued commitment to gender representation.

Additionally, a selection of individuals has been named as National Secretaries, representing various states, further enriching the diversity of the party’s leadership team.

Further Leadership Developments

Piyush Goyal has been reinstated as the National Treasurer, overseeing financial aspects for the party. Furthermore, RS MP Tarun Chugh has been assigned the role of Central Office In-charge.

Gujarat MP Hemang Joshi will manage the Yuva Morcha, while Roopkumari Choudhary will oversee the Mahila Morcha’s activities. Anil Baluni is set to continue as the Media Convenor, supported by co-convenors from various regions.

Deepak Mhaskey has been selected as the Social Media Convenor, in a move that underscores the party’s focus on digital engagement and outreach. This restructuring indicates the BJP’s strategy to enhance its operational effectiveness ahead of forthcoming challenges.
